Let us know when you want to leave and where you are headed in Manhattan. If the times listed don’t work for you, let us know. If need demands, we’ll adjust the schedule.

Description: Route 2 starts at Red Lantern Bicycle Shop in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, heads over the Manhattan Bridge, up Allen (a protected bike lane) with its final destination in Midtown East. Various pickup locations along the way can be organized if needed.  Furthermore, if you feel safer if an escort picked you up at your door and/or road with you the full length of your journey beyond the route described above, accommodations may be available. Please email the conductor to coordinate.

Important Notes:

- We ride safe and leave on time. Let your fellow commuters know asap if you can’t make it (see conductor info above for best contact info)

- An important goal of the biketrain to allow less experienced cyclists to gain experience and confidence — and provide safety in numbers — especially but not limited to riding at night and during the darker fall and winter months. That means it needs to be accessible to newer and possibly slower riders. If you’re speedy be prepared for a more leisurely pace. As participation grows, biketrains can always break into faster and slower packs.

- Bells and front and rear lights are required by law. Helmets are encouraged.

- You ride at your own risk, but we’re a friendly, safe bunch, so plan on having a good time!
